Mercedes Ruiz San Vicente
Mercedes started at Nahiarte in 2018, and started working on her own creative process from the beginning. She is extremely careful with her use of materials and uses colours quite subtly, resulting in works that are as clean and elegant as the artist herself. Her endearing drawings reach audiences that clamour for her creations in various mediums.
- February 2019: Participation in the first “Erandio desfila sin barreras” fashion show.
- April 2021: Bilbotik-Bilbora. Workshop led by Ricardo Antón reflecting on Bilbao’s highland neighbourhoods: Mazustegui, Arabella, and Arangoiti.
- May 2021: Work on SDG 11, as a continuation of the workshop led by Ricardo Antón, visiting the Arabella neighbourhood and seeing the difficulties we can find in the area, including public transportation connections, architectural barriers, etc., and strolling through Bilbao to take in its architectural richness and taking the funicular to Artxanda to appreciate our city and its air quality.
- November 2022: Participation in the 11th Edition of FIG Bilbao at the Euskalduna Bilbao Conference Centre.
- September 2022: Participation in the Outsider Fair Paris, Europe’s most important Outsider Art fair.
- April 2022: Participation in the Art with Soul Fair in NAESTVED, with an exhibition of works from various artists from our centre.
- December 2021: Collective exhibition at Dock (Universidad de Mondragón).
